The work derives from an interaction between Kley and her partner in times she lives abroad. On the first day of the separation, she would send her partner a blank A4 paper by fax, which he sends back the same day, unchanged. Each time, the last received copy would be sent back until the day of reunion. This process of sending/receiving leaves traces that evolve through the technology used and accompany the story of their relationship.
